There is a good post on the kiteboarder.co.uk technique forum where someone asked about when you should sheet the bar in when loading up for a jump. I thought this was a good and interesting question as you see so many people out kiting who have terrible jumping technique – they might get out of the water but they are not getting anywhere near as much height as they could if they just adapted their technique a little.
Anyway, I created this short video, just a couple of clips, where Karine shows perfectly how the bar should be sheeting in during a jump:
These clips come from the Intermediate Volume 1 DVD that we are currently editing, where all aspects of jumping will be covered in detail.

the performance she gives is much and much better than the chapter in the beginner cd (1st edition). Well, perhaps because i 1st learned to do it in this way: knees upwards. Again: very good that she wears a long board short. I just returned from Cumbuco where I once forgot my board short in some one ’s buggy and went out kiting. The lagoon is quiet undeep and when you crash in the sand it really hurts and you get these wounds (not healing because of the dirty water). My sexe is so unexperienced in these matters. Rather leave out the impact vest, helmet but NOT the board short. For commercial reasons you can always choose a girl with bigger breast
. The present “intermediate” cd is really briljant so I am looking forward to even a better version/2nd edition, which I certainly will buy. It s nice to see that you also take a girl who shows how to make a (double) back loop. To me It seems like you need a lot of power to do it. I don t have that power. So I look forward to see a girl doing it. The difference in performance between a man and a woman is so huge that when i see a man doing it, i always think: ouch I can t do that. I love your instruction cd’s a lot, so do my friends. Beaucoup de chance pour traduire votre cd’s dans tous les autres langues. …..nomorebikinis
