Overview

This is probably the hardest element to master in the full gybe - your foil may feel solid under foot, when you feet at firmly in one place but as soon as you move them things change very quickly! In this video we’re going to break down the key steps required to learn this dynamic and precise technique, which requires feeling the balance between your kites lift and that and of the foil, so that you can dance around on the board with confidence. We’ll be looking at both swapping your feet starting toeside and heelside, building on the basic muscle memory you’ve already learnt performing foot changes off the foil.

Ultimately learning to foot change will give you a far greater understanding for how your foil works and opens the door to a more confidence and flowing style of riding.
